Engine mounts
I found some good mini-chopper pictures that show more-or-less where and how the Vertical style Lifan engines are mounted on the bike.
This is one vote towards using a vertical style engine versus horizontal style. It looks fairly straightfoward to mount. And most of the engine mounts come from the bottom - as they would have to if this engine was mounted on a kart.
As far as HIGH mounts, that would be extremely difficult to attach to from a kart chassis (bottom), I only see 1 mount and it is just above the carb - visible from the rear picture.

You'll have to click on the image to see the front mounts.
You can see there are 2 mounts at the base of the front of the engine.
These are relatively easy to get to when attaching to a kart chassis from the bottom.

There are 3 seperate mounts visible in this picture.
2 at the base, and 1 just above the carb.
We may not have to use the mount by the carb. It seems like it would be difficult to mount securely to the kart chassis anyway.
Hopefully I will have time to put some horizontal engine mount pictures up, so we can do a direct comparison. Or at least pictures of the horizontal style engine.
